Animule Ball

I noticed several of my favorite musicians started making music again after many years. One of these bands is the Squirel Nut Zippers. I have attempted to see them many times, only to have some unforeseen disaster occur that made me miss them. I hope concerts become a reality again someday and I hope that THIS time I can finally see the Squirrel Nut Zippers!

Look

I have loved Venus Hum for many years now. Her performance on the Blue Man rock tour was memorable. Glowing in her rainbow light up dress singing with the voice of an angel, I was mesmerized. Annette Strean has an ethereal voice that I can listen to on repeat. I was thrilled to see a new single from Venus Hum!      My interpretation of Look is having the ability to face pain straight on without the crutches we use to deal with it. This has been a big lesson for me to learn over the last several years.I have learned to recognize pain, feel it, and move on. It hurts and it's not easy. I can see why I used to ignore it or sooth it. I am not even sure if I feel better now that I can deal with it. I can say that it's probably better for my health in ways that I can't necessarily see.      I hope you enjoy this single as much as I have been enjoying it. If it's not your thing, no worries, I listen to music across most genres so your jam...

I think this might be the ideal theme song for 2020! Fortunately, those times don't last forever. When we experience hard times, it helps us become stronger and wiser. Gaining those life lessons still isn't fun. 🙁

Long Distance Romance

As we are deep into the Covid pandemic, many relationships have become virtual with the hope that you can deeply connect with someone. In some cases, that miraculously occurs.       The daily message from that person becomes a precious gift. You wonder what that person is doing throughout the day. You think of them at night before you fall asleep with a smile on your face.       What might the future hold? Your imagination answers that question in so many ways. You laugh, you cry, and none of it is "real".      That person is far away with no chance of seeing each other. Not only is the distance a challenge, but in the world of Covid, so is the risk. I am certain that many people are currently experiencing this.      Can it ever work?  In some cases, that miraculously occurs.
